Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across a multi-facility float zone covering MS-Tele and various specialty units including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
• Manage an adult and geriatric patient population with diagnoses including cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, oncology, renal, urology post-surgical, general surgery, gynecology, psych/detox, ENT, and general medicine
• Titrate Heparin drips and manage RT equipment including vents, CPAP, and BiPap as needed
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–6 based on acuity, with nurse aide support available on unit
• Adhere to flexible scheduling requirements including 6–9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule and potential holiday rotation participation
• Must be available for Just-In-Time (JIT) shift assignments, which may be communicated 1–2 hours before shift start

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in the state of Kansas (or compact eligibility)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of MS-Tele experience within the last 3 years
• Must live at least 60 miles from the zone's city center to be eligible; valid driver's license must be submitted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior neurology nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience with Alaris IV pump systems preferred
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records preferred
