Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per-shift basis
- Supervise staff to whom appropriate patient care tasks have been delegated
- Ensure high quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care is delivered at the unit level
- Support nursing leadership in maintaining competency of clinical staff
- Manage resources appropriately as they relate to patient care
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Experience in Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing
- Demonstrated ability to assess and manage patient care across a shift
- Ability to delegate and supervise clinical staff appropriately
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience supporting nursing leadership or charge nurse responsibilities
- Familiarity with resource management practices in an acute care setting
