    Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (12-Hour Days, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week (48-Hour contracts available upon request)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a high-acuity Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a cardiac-heavy patient population including AFib with RVR, CHF, COPD, sepsis, post-ablation, and dialysis patients
    • Perform continuous telemetry monitoring and 12-lead EKG interpretation, including passing required telemetry competency assessments
    • Initiate and titrate drips including antiarrhythmics, Heparin, aminophylline, Cardizem, Tikosyn, and Amiodarone
    • Manage chest tubes, indwelling drains, nephrostomy tubes, CBI, and perform PIV insertion
    • Float within skillset to a sister campus (approximately 8–11 miles away) with a minimum of 2 hours notice; mid-shift float within the same campus is also required
    • May be required to precept students and new hires in a teaching hospital environment
    Required Qualifications
    • Current, active compact RN license
    • AHA BLS certification (must be current)
    • AHA ACLS certification (must be current)
    • NIHSS certification (must be current)
    • Minimum 2 years of strong Cardiac / Telemetry experience
    • At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment and Trauma Level II experience
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Recent hands-on experience with EPIC electronic health records (checkoff class will be required)
    • Demonstrated proficiency in telemetry interpretation, drip titration, and management of complex cardiac rhythms
    • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills with the ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
