Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit during night shift hours
- Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms and respond appropriately to cardiac changes
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Epic electronic health records
- Participate in holiday rotation, working at minimum every other holiday as required
- Complete facility-required orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate with a passing score
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
- Active permanent Ohio RN license or active compact state license in hand at time of submission
- Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required
- Active AHA or American Red Cross ACLS certification required
- Epic charting experience within the last 6 months required
- One professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months (Charge RN references accepted)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 18 months of Med/Surg Telemetry experience within a single facility setting
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation in an acute care environment
