Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit during night shift hours
- Float to like units or lower acuity units across up to 5 hospital campuses as needed, based on organizational needs (excluding the ED)
- Work a minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week cycle and at least one holiday, including the holiday weekend
- Complete required non-billable orientation modules prior to start date
- Maintain compliance with all unit-specific and system-wide clinical protocols
Required Qualifications
- Active California RN License required (Temp or Perm; no EMSA) — must be in hand at time of submission
- AHA BLS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2+ years of concurrent experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry
- Travel nursing experience required
- EPIC or combined EPIC/Cerner experience within the last 6 months of work history required
- Must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible — no exceptions; candidates on assignment in the San Diego area for the last 9+ months are considered local and are not eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience floating across multiple hospital campuses or health system locations
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and intermediate acuity patient populations
- Flexibility with scheduling, including weekends and holidays
