    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Float Pool

    Location

    Durango, CO | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Float across multiple MS-Tele units covering specialties including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
    • Provide direct patient care to an adult and geriatric population with diagnoses spanning general medicine, post-surgical, gynecology, psych/detox, ENT, urology, and more
    • Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5–6 based on acuity
    • Titrate Heparin drips as required; work with RT equipment including vents, CPAP, and BiPAP
    • Collaborate with designated charge nurses and nurse aides; may be asked to float to ICU (low-acuity holds), PCU/Stepdown, or other MS-Tele units based on need
    • Adhere to a leadership-built 6-week schedule; expected to remain flexible to help fill gaps, including weekend and holiday rotation coverage
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license valid in the state of Colorado
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience
    • Must be present in state for the full week of orientation, even if initial modules are conducted remotely
    • Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; valid driver's license must be submitted
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior neurology nursing experience strongly preferred
    • Comfort working in a float pool environment across varied acuity levels
    • Experience with telemetry monitoring and managing a diverse patient population
