    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Float Pool

    Location

    Durango, CO | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Float across multiple units including General MS-Tele, Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
    • Provide direct patient care to an adult and geriatric population with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–6 based on acuity
    • Titrate Heparin drips as required per patient care needs
    • Operate and monitor respiratory therapy equipment including vents, CPAP, and BiPAP
    • Maintain flexibility to fill scheduling gaps as directed by unit leadership; all time-off requests must be submitted prior to assignment start
    • Participate in weekend and holiday rotation as required (6–9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license in the state of Colorado (or compact eligibility)
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience
    • Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; valid driver's license must be submitted
    • Must be present in state for the full week of orientation, even if initial modules are completed remotely
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience in a neuro patient care setting
    • Experience floating across multiple acuity levels including PCU/Stepdown and ICU (low-acuity holds)
    • Familiarity with post-surgical patient populations including orthopedic, gynecology, urology, and general surgery
