Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit during night shift hours
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Meditech
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled, including availability for either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day based on unit need
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) License required
- BLS certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association) required
- Minimum 3 years of prior Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience required
- Telemetry experience required
- Meditech experience required
- Travel nursing experience required
- Current Flu vaccine (2024/2025) required prior to start
- Must be available for telemetry competency assessment on first day of orientation
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced acute care hospital environment
- Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills in a telemetry setting
