Contract (13–26 week options) | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Long Term Acute Care (LTACH) Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit during night shift hours
- Monitor and manage patients requiring telemetry and neurological observation
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule after 5:00 PM daily and on weekends (shared among 6–8 staff members)
- Float to other units and/or campuses as needed based on census, within demonstrated competency areas
- Complete all required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements within designated timeframes
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience
- Neurological nursing experience required
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible (night shift, Adult Medical Tele / Adult Cardiac Tele / Progressive Care specialty rule applies)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a Long Term Acute Care (LTACH) setting strongly preferred
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and progressive care patient populations
- Experience floating across multiple units or care settings
