Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Document all patient care activities accurately using Epic electronic health records
- Participate in on-call coverage as needed (on-call, when required, is limited to the first 4 hours)
- Float within scope to other like units or sister facilities as needed to meet staffing demands
- Adhere to facility protocols, including potential assignment to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry RN experience
- Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State Compact RN license (SC license must be active prior to start date)
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be considered as a standard candidate; local candidates (within 60 miles) may be considered on a case-by-case basis
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred, though first-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and interpretation in an acute care setting
