    Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Rotating Days and Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit, with potential float coverage to additional units serving the same patient population
    • Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms and respond appropriately to telemetry findings
    • Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
    • Participate in orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate evaluations, with an acceptable score required on both
    • Rotate holiday coverage, working at minimum every other holiday as scheduled
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
    Required Qualifications
    • Active permanent Ohio RN license or active Compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission
    • Minimum 12 months of permanent employment experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry
    • Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
    • Active ACLS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
    • Active NIHSS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
    • One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director within the specialty from an assignment worked in the past 12 months is required; co-worker references will not be accepted
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • One year of recent oncology or chemotherapy administration experience preferred; experienced oncology nurses are encouraged to apply, as training may be provided to qualified candidates interested in chemotherapy administration
    • Experience working within a large academic or high-acuity hospital environment
    • Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and ECG rhythm interpretation
