Contract | Rotating Days and Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Day: 7:00am–7:30pm | Night: 7:00pm–7:30am
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit for an acute care hospital setting
- May be required to float to other units within the same patient population as determined by operational needs
- Participate in ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation, with an acceptable score required on both
- Complete required annual hands-on competency training and pre-start modules as directed by the facility
- Work at least every other holiday as part of the standard scheduling expectation
- Adhere to all facility compliance, background, and licensing standards throughout the duration of the contract
Required Qualifications
- Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted
- Minimum 1 year of permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry (combined experience acceptable, though experience within a single location is preferred)
- Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
- Active ACLS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
- Active NIHSS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
- One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty — must be from an assignment worked within the past 12 months; co-worker references will not be accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience within a single facility or location for the required specialty tenure
- Familiarity with ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessment platforms
- Prior travel nursing experience within a large health system environment
