Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry in Charlottesville, VA

Contract | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 19:00–07:00) | 36 or 48 hours per week available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 12-bed Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a 1:4 patient ratio
• Manage patients with diagnoses including respiratory illnesses, renal illnesses, diabetes, sepsis, cellulitis, infections, heart failure, sickle cell, and cystic fibrosis
• Document and manage patient records using Epic EMR
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed per facility float policy
• Work every other weekend and a minimum of 2 out of 3 winter holidays

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• BLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursys verification required at time of submission
• References required
• Must adhere to facility float policy within scope of practice
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals are not accepted for this unit)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN preferred
• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and management of complex medical diagnoses
