Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 27-bed General Medicine Unit, managing a variety of disease processes across Respiratory, Endocrine, Cardiac, Immune/Infectious Disease, and Renal systems
- Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care during night shifts with expected hours of 36 or 48 hours per week
- Work every other weekend and be available for 2 out of 3 winter holidays as required by unit scheduling
- Float within scope of practice as needed in accordance with facility float policy
- Document and manage patient care using Epic electronic health records
Required Qualifications
- Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
- Epic experience required
- Nursys verification required at time of submission
- References required
- Must comply with facility float policy within scope of practice
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (mileage rule applies per facility policy)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- BLS and/or ACLS certification (preferred, not required)
- BSN preferred
- Experience caring for patients with Respiratory, Endocrine, Cardiac, Infectious Disease, and/or Renal conditions
