    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

    Location

    Chandler, AZ | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 12-Hour Day Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit, including general and orthopedic trauma stepdown patients, at a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
    • Monitor and manage patients with chest tubes, drains, wound vacs, and peritoneal dialysis; titrate Amiodarone and Cardizem as directed
    • Read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips using GE telemetry monitors with support from a central monitoring station technician
    • Manage CPAP and potential ventilator support; collaborate with Respiratory Therapy available 24/7
    • Utilize 1:1 PCT sitters for confused patients and soft restraints per protocol; communicate via Spectralink phones with integrated call light system
    • Float as needed to Medical-Surgical Telemetry units within the facility
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license in good standing
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry RN experience (experience must be within the past 6 months)
    • Must be able to read cardiac rhythm strips
    • Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (maximum of 2 attempts, within 48 hours of offer)
    • Must pass a Simulation Lab assessment on day one of orientation (study guides provided)
    • Availability to work 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period and one major and one minor holiday
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience caring for orthopedic trauma or stepdown patients, including chest tube and wound vac management
    • Familiarity with GE telemetry monitoring systems
    • Experience with peritoneal dialysis patients in a floor setting
    • Prior experience in a COVID-designated or infectious disease unit
