Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit during night shift hours
- Monitor and interpret ECG cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Epic electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Participate in holiday rotation, working at minimum every other holiday as required
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months of recent, permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry
- Active permanent Ohio RN license or active compact state license in hand at time of submission
- Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required
- Active AHA or American Red Cross ACLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained prior to start date
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health records system required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 18 months of specialty experience completed within a single location
- Demonstrated ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments
- One professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment within the past 12 months
