    Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays as Needed | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct inpatient nursing care to a diverse patient population with multiple co-morbidities, including a specialized stroke and neuro patient population
    • Monitor and manage telemetry patients, including remote monitoring and on-unit telemetry observation
    • Perform and manage feeding tube care, central line care, PICC line management, port access, peripheral IV placement, and blood product administration
    • Deliver care involving CVA protocols, nasal cannula oxygen therapy, isolation precautions, wound care, and wound VAC management
    • Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–1:6 in a fast-paced inpatient environment
    • Float to other health system campuses as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – must be in hand at time of submission
    • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
    • BLS certification required
    • NIH Stroke Scale certification required
    • EPIC EMR experience required
    • Telemetry experience with remote monitoring required; must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • On-unit telemetry monitoring experience preferred
    • Experience caring for stroke and neurological patient populations
    • Familiarity with high-acuity inpatient environments with complex, multi-comorbidity patient caseloads
