Contract | 12-Hour Night Shifts (7p–7a) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holiday Requirement Applies
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 34-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry Float Pool unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Manage patients with common diagnoses including heart dysrhythmias, GI issues, dialysis needs, and general medical conditions
- Titrate low-dose drips (e.g., low-dose dopamine) as required by patient condition
- Float to Telemetry units within the facility as needed; may also be required to float to other facilities within the regional network, with additional hourly compensation when floated outside the primary facility
- Collaborate with Charge Nurses, House Supervisors, Nurse Aides, and a regionalized telemetry monitoring team (RNs are not required to read EKG strips independently)
- Document and manage patient care using EPIC
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in the state of Washington
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Experience with dialysis patients
- Cardiac and telemetry skills required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) setting
- Prior experience in an ICU setting
- Familiarity with centralized scheduling environments and float pool assignments
