Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care across multiple Medical Surgical and Telemetry units as part of a float pool
- Independently read and interpret telemetry strips to monitor patient cardiac status
- Adapt quickly to the workflows, patient populations, and protocols of up to five different units
- Administer and manage intravenous therapies in accordance with unit standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
- Demonstrated ability to independently read telemetry strips; must pass an on-site telemetry exam on Day 1 with a score of 84% or higher (two attempts permitted)
- Proficiency with Meditech and EPIC electronic health record systems
- Active RN licensure in good standing
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Ability to adapt quickly to different unit environments with minimal orientation
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 3–5 years of experience in a float pool or multi-unit setting
- Prior experience floating across Medical Surgical and Telemetry units
