    Contract | 12-Hour Shifts (Days: 7a–7p / Nights: 7p–7a) | Full-Time

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 29-bed Cardiac/Telemetry Stepdown unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–6, caring for patients with diagnoses including AMI, post-cath, post-PCI, post-op lung surgery, respiratory failure, chest tubes, and pacemakers
    • Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Integrelin, Heparin, Ativan, Lasix, and Nitro (up to 50 mcg)
    • Monitor patients on CPAP and BiPap in coordination with Respiratory Therapy
    • Read and interpret telemetry strips independently using Philips monitoring systems
    • Collaborate with CNA support staff and a 24/7 Charge Nurse; participate in every-other-weekend scheduling (Saturday/Sunday) and holiday rotation with permanent staff
    • Float to other MedSurg/Telemetry units as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN licensure (or compact license) valid in West Virginia
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • Demonstrated ability to titrate drips independently — this is a firm requirement for this unit
    • Ability to read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips without assistance
    • No artificial/false nails permitted per unit policy
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience in a cardiac stepdown, telemetry, or cardiopulmonary unit
    • Familiarity with post-cath and post-PCI patient care protocols
    • Experience with Philips telemetry monitoring systems
    • Comfort working alongside CNA/PCT support staff in a team-based care model
