    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Float Pool

    Location

    Bridgeport, WV

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Float between multiple Med/Surg and Telemetry units as assigned by the clinical coordinator prior to each shift, with a primary parent unit designation
    • Provide direct patient care for a variety of diagnoses including CHF, chest pain, pneumonia, COPD, chronic renal disease, cardiac catheterization, orthopedic, and oncology patients
    • Read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips independently; Phillips monitoring system is utilized across most units
    • Manage patient assignments of approximately 1:5–6 ratio, depending on patient acuity
    • Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, respiratory therapy, and monitor techs to deliver safe, coordinated care
    • Adhere to weekend rotation (every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday) and participate in the holiday rotation schedule alongside permanent staff
    Required Qualifications
    • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Current BLS certification (required)
    • Current ACLS certification (required)
    • Must successfully pass a facility cardiac rhythm exam prior to assignment
    • Minimum of one year of Med/Surg and/or Telemetry nursing experience
    • Ability to read and independently interpret cardiac telemetry strips
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience in a float pool or multi-unit environment
    • Familiarity with Phillips telemetry monitoring systems
    • Experience caring for oncology, orthopedic, or cardiac catheterization patient populations
