    Contract | Nights | 36 hours/week | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every Other Weekend | Every Other Holiday

    Key Responsibilities
    • Float across multiple units including medical-surgical (orthopedics, urology, neurology, GYN), cardiology/telemetry, surgery, and cardiothoracic, adapting quickly to varying patient populations and unit workflows
    • Provide direct patient care at an average ratio of 5:1 across units ranging from 16 to 32 beds
    • Independently read and interpret telemetry strips; must pass an on-site telemetry exam on Day 1 with a score of 84% or better (two attempts allowed)
    • Administer and manage IV therapy using Meditech
    • Deliver stepdown-level care as required on night shift assignments
    • Maintain availability most Fridays; no extended time-off requests or specific schedule requests will be accommodated (maximum 5 days RTO)
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • NIHSS certification required
    • Minimum 4+ years of recent acute care experience with some stepdown experience
    • Must have at least one recent, successfully completed travel contract
    • Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be classified at a local rate
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Psychiatric (psych) nursing experience highly preferred
    • Experience with Epic EMR strongly preferred
    • 5+ years of float pool experience
    • Prior experience in a stepdown or cardiothoracic setting
