RN – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Day/Night Rotation | 12-hour shifts, expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend | Every other holiday
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 38-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit serving neurology, stroke, and general medical patients
- Independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
- Operate automated medication dispensing systems accurately and safely
- Maintain a patient assignment ratio of generally 1:4 or 1:5
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care plans across day and night shifts
Required Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in Medical Surgical nursing
- Demonstrated ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
- Experience with automated medication dispensing systems
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in surgical, neurology, or orthopedic nursing
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
