    Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Float Pool

    Location

    Contract | Night Shift (19:00–07:00) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Float across multiple Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and ED holds units at facilities within the region, including coverage as a 1:1 sitter when needed
    • Manage a patient assignment of up to 1:4 (ED holds) or 1:5 (Med Surg) across diverse diagnoses including post-op, ortho, neuro, oncology, CVA/TIA, chest pain, CHF, and abdominal pain
    • Titrate drips independently, including cardizem, amiodarone, nitroglycerin, heparin, and insulin
    • Read and interpret telemetry strips independently without reliance on monitor techs
    • Adapt to mid-shift and cross-facility float assignments as directed, with unit and location communicated via app approximately one hour before shift start
    • Collaborate with charge nurses, patient care techs, and respiratory therapy to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license with eligibility to practice in Idaho
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry specialty
    • Previous travel nursing experience required
    • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
    • Demonstrated ability to titrate drips and manage telemetry patients independently
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience with ED holds patients (CVA/TIA, chest pain rule-out, CHF)
    • Hands-on experience with cardizem, amiodarone, and nitroglycerin drip management
    • Comfort with high-acuity float pool environments across multiple units and facilities
