    Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (ED Border Care)

    Contract | 20 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift | 3x12 Hours (19:00–07:30) | Every Other Weekend Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, high-volume ED border care setting serving as Medical Surgical / Telemetry overflow (excluding critical care)
    • Manage a diverse patient population ranging from adults to geriatrics across a variety of diagnoses
    • Maintain patient ratios of 1:5 on days and 1:4 on weekends
    • Float within the specialty, including MS/T units, as an extender when required
    • Adhere to holiday and weekend scheduling requirements as assigned
    • Complete all required compliance onboarding, including labs within 72 hours of contract signing and all compliance documents no later than 5 days prior to start date
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Maryland RN license or Compact license at time of submission
    • BLS certification – American Heart Association only
    • NIH Stroke Scale certification required
    • CPI certification required (The Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor)
    • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; first-time travelers with strong relevant experience will be considered
    • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (permanent address) to be eligible — locals under 50 miles are not accepted unless explicitly stated otherwise
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • ACLS certification (American Heart Association only) preferred
    • Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced medical surgical or telemetry environment
    • Comfort with floating within scope and specialty with no restrictions
