Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional patient care. This position involves the potential to float to various units, including J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department, to care for a similar patient population.

Shift Details

Rotating shifts: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM and 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
12-hour shifts, four days a week
Shift scheduling may be variable based on the operational needs of the hospital
Must be available to work at least every other holiday

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry setting.
Assist in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
Monitor patient conditions and utilize appropriate interventions based on assessment data.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and care plans.

Qualifications

Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in Medical/Surgical Telemetry nursing.
Must possess a valid Registered Nurse license from Ohio or a compact state.
Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) are required.
Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation is required.
