Position Overview

Cleveland Clinic is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a day-shift assignment. The RN will provide patient care in a hospital setting and work collaboratively with the healthcare team.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of combined permanent experience in the specialty applying for.
• Permanent Ohio RN license or compact license in hand at the time of submission.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications must be active and in hand.
• Previous travel experience is not required.
• One professional reference from a Manager, ANM, Supervisor, or Director in the specialty is required.
• Reference must be from an assignment worked within the past 12 months. Coworker references are not accepted.
• All requested RTO (Requested Time Off) must be discussed during the interview and included at submission.
• Candidate may be submitted for only one Cleveland Clinic Health System job at a time.

Facility Requirements

• COVID-19 vaccination required; medical/religious exemptions only.
• Flu vaccination required; medical/religious exemptions only.
• Nurses are currently exempt from the nicotine-free facility requirement.
• Background/license history is reviewed by the facility. Open background cases and license hits are not accepted.
• BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract.
• ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation. Maximum of 2 attempts to achieve an acceptable score.

Important Notes

• Locals are accepted at the same bill rate.
• PBDS assessment is waived.
• Permanent and per diem candidates must wait 1 year from their previous end date before returning to Cleveland Clinic hospitals.
• Travelers may extend up to 18 months with the client; after that, a 6-month break is required unless the client defers the break.
• Pre-start modules average 6–15 hours. Up to 4 hours are billable.
• Annual hands-on competency requirements may apply to nurses who remain on continuous contracts for at least 1 year or return in the following calendar year.
