Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our dynamic team in a float pool role. This position will provide support across multiple medical surgical units within a 600-bed facility. Our focus areas include neurology, cardiac care, bariatric surgeries, general medicine, general surgery, gynecological procedures, genitourinary care, orthopedic surgeries, oncology, transplant services for liver and kidneys, and vascular care.

Shifts and Scheduling

• Combination of 8 and 12-hour shifts
• Rotating schedules including days, evenings, and nights every other weekend
• Individual schedules will vary, with possible last-minute assignments
• One week in a 4-week period will include one 12-hour shift and three 8-hour shifts

Responsibilities

• Administer treatments as directed, including nebulizers
• Perform unit-specific procedures such as 12-lead EKGs, IV lasix infusions, blood transfusions, and telemetry monitoring
• Provide care for patients with an average nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1 during days and 6:1 during nights

Qualifications

• Active RN license required
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• American Heart Association certifications: CPR and ACLS required
• Basic familiarity with computers and the ability to navigate web-based applications
• Experience with Epic software is mandatory
• Experience in a teaching hospital setting and specialty area expertise are advantageous
• Must be willing to commit to orientation programs held weekly on Mondays, unless a holiday occurs

• Ability to work every other weekend and on holidays when required
• Flexibility in scheduling is essential
