Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Float Pool team. This role involves working across multiple Med/Surg Tele units within the facility, providing high-quality patient care and support.

Position Details

  • Unit Name: Float Pool RN (must be willing to float between 8 different units)
  • Shift: Nights & Every Other Weekend (EOW) - 36 hours per week

Responsibilities

  • Conduct cardiac monitoring and administer cardiac drips.
  • Interpret telemetry strips and measure intervals every 4 hours.
  • Provide care for non-ventilated patients in transfer-ready ICU.
  • Serve as a medication nurse in the acute mental health unit.
  • Manage a clinician to patient ratio of up to 6:1 during night shifts.

Qualifications

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of acute care hospital experience and 2 years working as a Traveler.
  • Required Skills: Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, ability to perform cardiac drips, and experience with TR Band.
  • Certifications: Active RN License in Massachusetts, AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).

  • Bed Count: 371
  • Census: Units range from 8 to 41 beds
  • Rotation Requirements: Must rotate between days, evenings, and nights as needed.
