Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in a large, urban hospital required License: Active RN License required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: - EPIC charting experience - Experience managing cardiac drips - Previous charge experience - Level 1 trauma facility experience within the last year Description: This position requires a registered nurse to provide care in a medical/surgical/telemetry specialty. The role involves floating between units to meet staffing needs. Travelers must be prepared to float frequently. Orientation will provide necessary guidelines for the floating process. RNs will work primarily night shifts and are expected to work weekends. Four weekend shifts out of eight possible in a four-week period are required. Holidays are also a requirement, with travelers expected to work two out of three major holidays. Candidates must be nicotine-free due to facility policy. Travelers should possess skills in managing dysrhythmias and must be able to interpret telemetry readings. The patient ratio is typically around 5-6 during the day and 6 at night. The team will include care techs and other support staff. The environment emphasizes a collaborative approach to patient care. All candidates must have recent experience within the specified fields to qualify for the position.
