We are seeking an experienced Travel RN – Med Surg / Med Surg Tele for 5 East. The unit cares for a wide variety of medical-surgical patients and does not specialize in one specific patient population.

The team is building a strong, collaborative culture and values nurses who are adaptable, motivated, willing to help others learn and grow, and bring positive ideas and attitudes to the unit.

Unit Details

• Patient population: All types of Med Surg care
• Ratio: 4–5:1
• Beds: 15
• Drips: Heparin
• Telemetry: Remote/tele tech unit monitoring
• EMR: Epic
• Scrubs: Navy blue, solid colors

Requirements

• Minimum 24 months recent Med Surg / Medical Surgical / Med Surg Tele experience
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Must have completed at least 1 travel contract within the previous 18 months
• Experience caring for a variety of Med Surg patient types
• Epic experience required
• Heparin experience required
• Telemetry/cardiac experience highly preferred
• Recent Charge or Preceptor experience required
• Active Iowa RN license or Compact/Multistate license at submission
• BLS through AHA or American Red Cross required
