# Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical / Telemetry RN – New YorkStart Date: October 5, 2026
Location: Rochester, New York
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Day/Evening ratios 5:1 (stretch to 6-7), Night ratios 6-7:1 (stretch to 8-10). Every other weekend required. Block scheduling may be available but not guaranteed.Highlights:- 19-bed cardiac unit specializing in telemetry and dysrhythmia management- Patient Care Technicians provide support with vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, EKGs, and activities of daily living- Epic charting system with 16 hours of orientation provided- Interdisciplinary team support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, physical therapy, and radiology- Float requirements within scope to like units as needed- Contract length with limited time-off restrictions (maximum 1 week RTO per assignment)Requirements:- Active New York State RN license (must be in hand prior to submission)- Minimum 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience- BLS and NIHSS certifications required- Epic charting experience required- Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV placement- Skills required: Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response teams, peripheral line care/management, oxygen administration (nasal cannula, face masks, portable tanks), non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions/PPE- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from facility locationWhy It's a Great Opportunity:This position offers the chance to work with a dedicated cardiac population while utilizing advanced telemetry monitoring skills in a supportive team environment.
