Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $2,832 per week in Rochester, NY

Familiarity with ortho trauma, total joint replacements, and chest tube management is needed. Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) are present on all units for vital signs and daily living activities.

Must possess skills in phlebotomy and IV placement as this is essential. Day and evening patient ratios are 5 to 1, with potential stretches to 6-7. Night ratios are typically expected to be 6-7 to 1, with stretches up to 8-10 if staff calls in. Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) are present on all units for vital signs and daily living activities. Must be able to interpret and manage dysrhythmias. Experience with IV insulin protocols and feeding tube care and management is required. Knowledge in blood product administration and peripheral line care is necessary. Experience in managing cardiac drips (no titration) and PCA is essential. Familiarity with ortho trauma, total joint replacements, and chest tube management is needed. Experience in tracheostomy care and wound care/wound vac is required. Patient diagnoses include osteoarthritis of any joints and fractures of any bones. Epic charting experience is preferred. Scrub color can be any combination of navy and white.
