Orthopedic Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Orthopedic Registered Nurse to join our team. This position requires expertise in orthopedic care, particularly in a Level I trauma setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and a passion for providing excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the orthopedic unit.
• Collaborate effectively with medical staff, including doctors, nurses, and LPNs.
• Participate in team nursing, with a patient ratio of 1:12 split between multiple RNs and LPNs.
• Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
• Monitor and document patient progress and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Educate patients and families about orthopedic conditions and recovery processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent orthopedic nursing experience required.
• Experience working in a Level I trauma center is a must.
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in a large hospital setting is required.
• Nursing license must be compliant with NLC guidelines.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position requiring 48 hours of work each week. The schedule is primarily day shifts, with possible weekends on a rotational basis. On-call duties may be required as needed.
