**Exciting Opportunity for RN in Med Surg / Tele Short Stay!**
**Job Description:**
- Join a dynamic team providing exceptional patient care in the Med Surg / Tele unit!
- **Position:** RN
- **Specialty:** Med Surg Tele
- **Shifts Available:** Nights, 1900-0700
- **Guaranteed Hours:** 48 hours per week
- **Assignment Length:** 13 weeks
- **Number of Openings:** 1
**Unit Highlights:**
- **Patient Ratios:** 4-6:1 (estimates, not guarantees)
- **Type of Patients:** 50% Medical / 50% Tele (adults only)
- **Equipment:** Standard Nursing equipment on Tele unit
- **EMR System:** EPIC
**Requirements:**
- **Licensure:** Current RN License (eligible or licensed in Missouri)
- **Certifications:** BLS and ACLS from AHA only, NIHSS
- **Experience:** 2+ years in Tele
- **Floating Requirements:** As needed to a similar or lower acuity unit
- **Personality Fit:** Team player, focused on positive patient outcomes, superior communication skills

- **Scrub Color:** Black

**Auto Offer Guidelines:**
- **Interview Process:** 7E Tele Manager will interview all candidates within 24 hours of offer; final approval is required.
- **Contract Duration:** 13-26 weeks
- **Weekend Work:** Standard expectation is every other full weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
- **Orientation:** Night shift orientations occur on day shift; must be available the full week for orientation
**Overview:**
- Perform direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Monitor and coordinate patient care activities to optimize patient comfort.
- Function within the scope of nursing practice as established by the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and Mercy's standards.
