Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in MS/Tele License: Oregon RN license is not required at the time of submission; pending licensure is acceptable. Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Management of telemetry - Interpretation of cardiac rhythms - Management of dysrhythmias - O2 Protocol - Non-invasive airway management - Peripheral line care/management - Isolation precaution/PPE - Rapid response team activation - Computerized documentation Description: Position is for a registered nurse specializing in MS/Tele. The nurse will be responsible for the care of patients with a wide range of diagnoses. Common conditions include electrolyte imbalance, anemia, chest pain, transient ischemia, and infection. Nurses in this role will gain exposure to various clinical skills. Patient ratios are typically 1 nurse to 4-6 patients. There may be a requirement to float within the facility as needed. Every other weekend will be required. Current charting system is Epic. Ideal candidates will possess experience in interpreting dysrhythmias and managing dysrhythmias. Candidates must adhere to isolation precautions and PPE guidelines. The role includes activation of rapid response teams as necessary. Documentation must be completed using computerized systems. It is important to maintain peripheral line care and management. A collaborative approach with interdisciplinary support teams will be emphasized. This position involves working with adult and geriatric patient age groups. Daily census on the unit is about 30 patients. Orientation and training will be provided prior to starting the assignment.
