Description:
This position requires a registered nurse specializing in Med/Surg/Telemetry.
The RN will provide care for very ill medical/surgical patients.
The unit admits patients from general medical non-telemetry up to intermediate care levels.
The nurse will be responsible for a patient ratio of 1:4-6, depending on acuity.
The role requires familiarity with titration of medications, including nitroglycerin, Cardizem, and Amiodarone.
The RN will participate in management of acute and chronic conditions such as respiratory failure and congestive heart failure.
Candidates must have experience with computerized documentation systems.
Floating within the facility may be required based on patient needs.
Weekend shifts are required, typically every other weekend.
Previous experience with telemetry is essential for this role.
