Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our medical surgical float pool. The role involves providing care across 15 medical surgical units within a large healthcare facility, with a focus on various specialties including neurology, cardiac, bariatric, general medicine, general surgery, gynecology, urology, orthopedics, oncology, transplantation, and vascular procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Support a diverse patient population with varying healthcare needs.
• Administer medications and treatments, including nebulizers and intravenous therapies.
• Perform unit-specific procedures such as 12-lead EKGs, telemetry monitoring, and blood transfusions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver quality patient care.
• Maintain patient ratios of 4:1 on days and 6:1 on nights.
• Adapt to rotating schedules with a combination of 8 and 12-hour shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts RN license required.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Experience in a teaching hospital setting is preferred.
• Prior travel nursing experience is highly desired.
• CPR (AHA) and ACLS certifications required.
• Basic proficiency with web-based applications; Epic experience is essential.

• Orientation occurs weekly, every Monday barring holidays.
• All RTO (Requested Time Off) requests must be submitted upon application.
• Flexibility in scheduling is necessary, with potential last-minute assignment notifications.
• Scrubs of any color may be worn.
• Parking may incur daily fees; public transportation is available for commuting.

Work Environment

This position offers a dynamic atmosphere as you will float between units, providing you with a variety of experiences and challenges within a 600-bed facility.
