Job Summary:
This Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) position is located on a night shift in a healthcare organization. The role involves providing nursing care to a diverse patient population, including surgical and medical patients, with responsibilities that include interpreting electrocardiograms (ECGs) and telemetry data. Candidates must be proficient in reading and interpreting strips independently and prepared to demonstrate their skills during onboarding tests. The assignment is scheduled to start on 10/27/2026 and will conclude on 01/23/2027.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- Recent acute Medical Surgical nursing experience with Telemetry of 2 or more years.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
- CPR and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Epic electronic health record (EHR) system experience.
- Must be separated from the healthcare organization for 6 or more months and in good standing.
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
- Additional Information:
- BILH cover sheet required at time of submission.
- Candidates must pass ECG/telemetry and medications testing during onboarding, with a single attempt to pass each, including dysrhythmia and medication tests administered via Zoom. Tests require an 85% passing score, with preparation resources provided.
- Must hold Massachusetts licensure at the time of submission.
- The unit does not have telemetry technicians; all Registered Nurses are responsible for reading and interpreting their own ECG strips.
- The assignment involves flexing between all medical-surgical telemetry units as needed.
- Flu vaccination required unless medically exempt.
- Candidates must be free from the organization for at least 6 months and in good standing to be considered.
