Travel Nurse Job Details

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470-$2,600
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: Required to R5, R6, R7, and potential additional telemetry units
RN Job Requirements
- Active New York RN license required at time of submission
- At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience required
- At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
- BLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required prior to start
- Epic experience within the past 2 years required
- CMSRN preferred
- Strong flexibility and ability to support multiple patient populations
- Reliable transportation strongly recommended due to limited public transit in the Plattsburgh area
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate patient care for Med/Surg telemetry patients in a hospital setting
- Support a varied patient population including oncology, orthopedics, urology, and ED Hold needs
- Monitor telemetry patients and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Perform IV care, bladder scans, glucose monitoring, and blood draws from central lines as needed
- Collaborate with nursing teammates, unit clerks, and support staff to promote efficient patient flow
- Float to assigned units and adapt to changing patient care needs in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Document accurately in Epic and follow unit protocols and standards of care
- Maintain a professional, team-oriented approach while delivering high-quality clinical support
