Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical Telemetry | Milton, MA

Seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Telemetry Travel RN for an 8-week acute-care nursing contract in Milton, Massachusetts, near Boston. Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470–$2,600
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse contract
• Contract Duration: 8 weeks
• Start Date: January 5, 2027
• End Date: February 27, 2027
• Schedule: Approximately 36 hours per week; 12-hour day shifts
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly, excluding on-call time
• Assignment Setting: Acute-care Medical-Surgical Telemetry float pool
• Floating: Required between assigned units as needed
• Time-Off Guidance: No more than three days of requested time off

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts
• At least 2 years of recent acute-care Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing experience
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent education
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Recent Epic electronic health record experience
• Strong dysrhythmia recognition and independent cardiac telemetry interpretation skills
• Successful completion of required ECG/telemetry and medication assessments before acceptance; an 85% passing score is required on each assessment, with one attempt permitted
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, every other weekend, and float as needed

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in an acute-care Medical-Surgical Telemetry setting.
• Assess patients, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate clinical outcomes.
• Continuously monitor, recognize, and independently interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns to the appropriate clinical team.
• Administer medications safely and accurately, following established clinical protocols.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the Epic electronic health record.
• Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary team members to support safe, high-quality patient care.
• Float between assigned units as needed while maintaining professional standards and continuity of care.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge needs.
