Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470–$2,600

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Massachusetts or eligibility to practice in Massachusetts
• At least 2 years of recent medical-surgical telemetry nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Recent Epic electronic health record (EHR) experience required
• Ability to successfully complete required onboarding and competency assessments
• Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts and float when needed

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient nursing care to adult patients on a medical-surgical telemetry unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, clinical status, and changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Perform nursing assessments, develop and update individualized care plans, and document care in Epic
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing colleagues, and interdisciplinary team members
• Recognize changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions or escalation of care
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, recovery, and discharge needs
• Support safe patient transitions and maintain compliance with hospital policies and professional standards
