Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse will provide exceptional patient care in a 27-bed General Medicine Unit, catering to a diverse range of medical conditions affecting the respiratory, endocrine, cardiac, immune/infectious disease, and renal systems. This role includes night shifts with a focus on providing high-quality nursing care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Shift and Scheduling

• Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
• Hours: Options for 36 or 48 hours per week
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Every other weekend required
• Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Time off approval for up to 40 hours
• Note: Time off cannot be approved around the Christmas holiday

Qualifications

• Current Virginia nursing license (can submit with license pending)
• Epic experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification preferred, but not required
• Must adhere to the float policy

Key Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for:

• Assessing and monitoring patient conditions
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborating with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educating patients and families about health management and disease prevention
• Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
