Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in a fast-paced medical/surgical telemetry unit. This position involves providing high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients with a range of acute conditions and multiple comorbidities.

Shift Information

• 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend
• 12-hour day shifts, 7 AM to 7:30 PM

Unit Description

The medical/surgical telemetry unit is a 49-bed facility that focuses on delivering comprehensive patient care. The nursing staff is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments per established protocols.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data and vital signs.
• Provide patient education and support to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and patient management.

Minimum Requirements

• Current Massachusetts RN License.
• Experience in Medical-Surgical nursing preferred.
• Telemetry experience is required.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to demonstrate effective time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Additional Information

Orientation is conducted biweekly, and the start date is as soon as possible, requiring at least four weeks of advance notice. Interviews will be scheduled with the Nurse Manager, and candidates must provide their availability at the time of submission.

Note: PASS/FAIL testing (ECG/Tele Test and Medication Test) is required prior to acceptance, which will need to be scheduled within 48 hours of a tentative offer. Previous travelers who have worked within the last six months will not be eligible for this position.
