Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

The position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry services. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to surgery patients, including those undergoing colorectal, general surgery, hepatobiliary, and orthopedic/spine procedures.

Required Skills and Certifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required.
• Ability to start IVs and interpret telemetry.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.

Job Details

• Patient Ratios: Target ratio of 1:6.
• Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week available.
• Contract Length: 13 weeks or longer, with an end date of 2/27.
• Shifts: Night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15.
• Scheduling: Self-scheduling based on unit needs and nursing management input.
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend.
• Float Requirement: May be required to float occasionally to other units.

Unit Orientation

New hires will undergo a comprehensive 36-hour orientation to familiarize themselves with unit protocols and expectations.

Dress Code

Scrubs are not provided. Navy blue or white scrubs are required to be worn during shifts.

Key Notes

• RTO (Request Time Off) after booking is not permitted and cannot be worked out onsite.
• Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit may result in cancellation and a do-not-return (DNR) status.
• All candidates must pass EKG testing prior to the start date for this specialty.

Patient Population

This position caters to a diverse patient population primarily focused on surgical care related to various specialties.
