Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse to join our team. This role involves providing quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment, with the potential to float to various units including J1-2, J33, and the ED, ensuring a consistent patient care experience across all areas.

Shift Details

• Rotating shifts: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM / 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Must be flexible to meet operational needs of the facility. While we aim to accommodate preferred shifts, rotation may be necessary.

Contract Duration

• Available for 18 weeks of winter coverage, with 13-week assignments also accepted.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols.
• Monitor patient condition and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist in the coordination of patient care with interdisciplinary teams.
• Participate in patient education and advocacy.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty being applied for.
• Valid Ohio nursing license or compact state license required.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS from AHA or American Red Cross.
• Completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment during orientation with acceptable scores on both.

Holiday Requirements

Travelers must be available to work at least every other holiday as part of the commitment to patient care during peak times.
