Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $2,704 per week in Wilmington, NC

RTO after booking is not allowed and not to be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly result in a cancellation and DNR. First-time travelers are accepted. Call and float required as needed. Travelers are expected to float before core team members. Every other weekend is required. Night shift staff are expected to work during holidays. Patient ratio is 1:6. Contract staff may be assigned to work during catastrophic events and mass casualties. All staff are required to attend unit team meetings scheduled for the fourth Wednesday of each month from January through October. Meetings in November and December will be held on the third Wednesday at 1730. Additional meetings for night shift employees will be conducted at 0730 on the Friday immediately following the Wednesday meetings. Patients include adults and geriatrics with general med/surg conditions. Daily census is approximately 43. Unit procedures include administering Heparin drips and high flow oxygen. Limited short-term BiPap support is available, appropriate for all med/surg nurses. The unit does not have PCU level patients. Medication and documentation systems used include specific software platforms. All staff must be available for required meetings. Travelers must be open to floating within and near the facility. All RTO must be pre-approved, with specific guidelines regarding time off. Candidates must meet all relevant expectations and standards. Assistance from interdisciplinary teams is available on the unit. Proper training and adherence to protocols for various procedures are necessary.
