Position Overview

Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for winter coverage. The RN will provide care to Med/Surg Tele patients and may float to J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for patients with the same population.

The facility will try to honor the traveler's preferred shift, but day/night rotation may be required based on operational needs.

Requirements

• Minimum 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty
• Permanent Ohio RN license or Compact RN license must be active and in hand at submission
• BLS – AHA or American Red Cross accepted
• ACLS – Active and in hand
• NIHSS – Active and in hand
• All certifications must be active and in hand; pending certifications are not accepted
• 1 professional reference required from a Manager, ANM, Supervisor, or Director
• Reference must be from the specialty applying for
• Reference must be from an assignment worked within the past 12 months
• Coworker references are not accepted
• Locals accepted at the same bill rate

Schedule & Facility Requirements

• 3 × 12-hour shifts
• Rotating day/night schedule
• Traveler must work at least every other holiday
• May float to J1-2, J33, and ED based on patient population and operational needs
• All RTO must be disclosed at submission and discussed during the interview
• Travelers may only be submitted for one Cleveland Clinic Health System position at a time
• Standard Qualivis Cover Sheet must be completed
• PBDS assessment is waived

Orientation Assessments

During orientation, the traveler must successfully complete:

• ECG Rhythm Recognition Test
• SafeMedicate Assessment

A passing score is required on both assessments. Travelers have a maximum of 2 attempts to pass.

Compliance Requirements

• COVID-19 vaccination required; medical/religious exemptions accepted
• Flu vaccination required; medical/religious exemptions accepted
• Nurses and CSTs are currently exempt from the nicotine-free facility requirement
• Background hits are reviewed by the facility
• No license hits accepted
• Travelers with an open background case are not accepted
• BCI/FBI fingerprints must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract

Modules

• Pre-start and annual modules are required
• Average completion time: 6–15 hours
• Up to 4 hours are billable
• Additional pre-start module time is non-billable
• Modules are completed through Silkroad

Important Submission Checklist

Before submission, the candidate must have:

✓ Active BLS, ACLS & NIHSS certifications
