Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Long-Term Acute Care Medical-Surgical/Telemetry – South Carolina

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Columbia, South Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Weekend coverage supported by rotating call among 6-8 staff members. On-call coverage required after 5pm daily and on weekends, rotating between primary and backup call staff. Contract options available for 13 or 26 weeks.

  • LTAC Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit specializing in neurological patient care
  • Daily census of approximately 15 patients
  • Epic EMR system utilized facility-wide
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary
  • Flexible scheduling options: 36 or 48 hours per week available
  • Pre-assignment modules reimbursable up to 16 hours

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience required
  • Neurological patient care experience required
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
  • LTAC experience strongly preferred
  • Skills required: complex wound care, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, tracheostomy care and management
  • Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations
  • Flu vaccination required (no exemptions available)
  • Must reside 50+ miles from the contracted facility campus to qualify for this travel position
