Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

An opportunity exists for a Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse specializing in the care of adult patients. This role may also involve floating to various units as required, including J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department (ED), to provide care for similar patient populations.

Contract Details

This position offers a contract of 18 weeks minimum for winter coverage, with options for 13-week contracts also available.

Shifts

  • Rotating shifts: 7pm - 7:30am or 7am - 7:30pm
  • Note: Shifts may vary based on operational needs, but preferred shifts will be accommodated where possible.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the Med/Surg Tele specialty.
  • A valid Ohio nursing license or a compact state license is required.
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS from AHA or American Red Cross are mandatory.

Additional Requirements

  • Travelers must work at least every other holiday.
  • Completion of an ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate during orientation, with acceptable scores required on both assessments.
